    Raise Money While You Shop

    Shop with area retailers and help raise money for Reynolds. At Food Lion, register your MVP card online or over the phone, at (704) 633-8250, ext. 3810; for Harris Teeter, link your VIC Card to Reynolds, or ask them to credit code 4261 at checkout; and at Office Depot, give 5% Back to Schools by providing Code 70062820 to either your online purchase or at checkout.

    Keeping Legislative Tabs

    The NCPTSA legislative committee prepares a regular newsletter to let all members know about all matters before the N.C. General Assembly that involve education. If you are interested in learing more about what is going on in Raleigh, visit the Advocacy area of the NCPTSA website.


    RJR Weaves Its Strengths to Succeed

    We hope everyone has had a wonderful summer and is excited about the 2008-09 school year! R.J. Reynolds High School's 85-year history of excellence in academics, athletics and the arts reflects the blending of three key components: an outstanding staff, motivated students and involved parents. We welcome the opportunity to continue the growth of Reynolds' legacy of tradition, diversity, and success.

    The PTSA supports the staff, students and families by providing information, volunteers, financial support and resources, particularly in academics and the performing arts. The Booster Club provides this same support to the athletic department. Our PTSA and Booster Club will continue with the Legacy Campaign, our combined fundraiser that supports both organizations. PTSA Membership fees will be a part of this year's Legacy Campaign, so you will really only have to write one check!

    Recognizing that parent involvement is dependent on good communication, please take note of the following ways to stay informed:

    Newsletter: We will have one printed and published newsletter. Hang on to this issue, as it has information you will need throughout the year.

    Weekly information: Sign up for weekly PTSA newsletters by e-mailing your name, student's name and grade level to RJRCommunications@wsfcs.k12.nc.us. For those of you who don't have access to a computer, your child can pick up a printed copy of the weekly e-mail at the school office.

    We invite you to get involved at Reynolds and enhance the learning experience of your child. Fill out the enclosed Volunteer Form and send it back to the school. There are multiple opportunities at every level to serve and we need you! Please join us in our efforts to ensure that Reynolds High School continues its long tradition of excellence.
